Fort Sheridan Hawkwatch

Please join us on October 19 as we visit the Fort Sheridan Hawkwatch, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and remaining in the vicinity until around 12:00 p.m. This day also coincides with eBird’s October Big Day, which raises the stakes for us to see as much as possible! We will begin at 7:30 a.m. by doing some general birding around the preserve and then make our way to the hawk watch at around 9:30-10:00 a.m.

We will meet in the parking lot at 455 Cliff Rd., Highland Park, IL.

If you cannot arrive promptly at 7:30 a.m. – no worries. We tend to create a text message group by the Friday evening before our trips, so late arrivals can inform us accordingly if they wish.

• General birding: 7:30-9:30 a.m., Hawkwatch: 9:30-12:00 p.m.
• Registrants will be added to a text message group for ease of communication on the day of the event. You may attend from the beginning of the trip or catch up with us later in the morning.
